From May 22nd to 25th, 2025, the science city of Darmstadt is characterized by Europe. At the end of Europe, Hanno Benz welcomes guests from eleven European partner cities and from Nahariya (Israel) . The program includes encounters, exchange and events - from a tram baptism to the traditional border tour with ecumenical service.

Specialist discussion, tram baptism and border tour
- Friday, May 23:
After the official greeting, a specialist discussion for "digitization in urban development" follows with examples from the partner cities. Fraunhofer IGD is then visited. In the evening, the city invites you to European reception. - Saturday, May 24th:
The day begins with the baptism of a tram in the name "Nahariya". Afterwards, the border rang from the Böllenfall goal for the Geibelschen Schmiede in Eberstadt
11 a.m. There the DRK and the swing sound orchestra ensure food and music. New this year: an ecumenical service from 3:30 p.m. on the final rest, organized by the working group of Christian churches. - Participation & tickets:
9 euros in advance (children: 4.50 euros) and include a day ticket for the entire 4000 tariff area . They are available in the citizens' consulting center on Luisenplatz and in the district administrations of Arheilgen, Eberstadt and Wixhausen. On the event day, the tickets cost 10 or 5 euros. - Connections:
starting point Böllenfalltor (lines 5 and 9), return trip from Eberstadt Marktstrasse (line 6, buses EB and M2).
