Event as part of the European Christmas: "From the trauma of war to the dream of Europe?"
Under the title "80 years end of the war - 75 years of European integration: From the trauma of war to the dream of Europe?" In invites the city of Reinheim on Monday, May 19, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. for a lecture with subsequent discussion in the Heinrich Klein-Haal . The event takes place as part of the European Christmas.
The speaker is Dr. Carolin Rüger , political scientist, European researcher and native Reinheimer. Already last year she delighted the audience in the Hofgut with a well -founded lecture on European politics.
The focus of your lecture is the focus of this year's lecture on the present and future of the European Union:
- What about the peace project EU?
- What teachings can be drawn 80 years after the Second World War and 75 years after the Schuman plan?
- What remains of the European idea in times of crises, wars and growing European skepticism?
Dr. Rüger, who teaches and researches at the University of Passau, will illuminate historical developments and current challenges and give food for thought for the subsequent round of discussion.
