Applications for the concert in September are now being accepted
The Groß-Gerau district and the Groß-Gerau Savings Bank Foundation are actively committed to promoting choral singing in the region. In addition to honoring the district's top singers and supporting youth music programs, the Evening of Choirs will be held again in 2025. Choirs from the Groß-Gerau district can now apply to participate in this special concert in the fall.
Application and participation conditions
All adult choirs based in the Groß-Gerau district are eligible to apply for the Evening of Choirs. The application deadline is May 4, 2025. Choirs of all genres are welcome, provided they have a suitable repertoire. Performances will consist of two 15-minute sets , and all pieces must be performed without backing tracks or technical assistance.
Choirs that have already received funding are ineligible to apply the following year. The selected choirs will receive a fee and a share of the event's proceeds.
Concert on September 21, 2025 at the Groß-Gerau District Office
A jury of experts will select three choirs from the applications received to perform at the Groß-Gerau District Office on September 21, 2025. The jury consists of members of the Groß-Gerau Savings Bank Foundation, the two choral associations of Groß-Gerau and Mainspitze, and the district's cultural office.
