Free action day for more exercise and independence in old age
Nauheim on Friday, March 13, 2026. From 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., the Groß-Gerau Sports Association, together with the Groß-Gerau District Sports Promotion Office, the municipality of Nauheim, and the Nauheim Sports and Cultural Association, invites everyone to a free activity day centered around the Everyday Fitness Test. The event is specifically aimed at people aged 60 and over.
Low-threshold test for everyday life
The centerpiece of the afternoon is the everyday fitness test, which consists of six easy-to-implement exercises. In approximately 15 minutes, participants receive a realistic assessment of their physical performance in daily life. The test is supervised by trained instructors who explain the exercises, provide support during execution, and afterwards offer individual advice and recommendations for further exercise opportunities in Nauheim.
Movement meets encounter
In addition to the fitness test, the event offers opportunities for exchange and networking. Coffee and cake will be served during the social part of the afternoon in the SKV hall. The program will be rounded off with a short presentation and individual concluding discussions.
The event is part of a district-wide initiative within the framework of the new sports development plan for the Groß-Gerau district. The aim is to implement easily accessible exercise and health programs directly on-site, in cooperation with local partners, and to provide older people with uncomplicated access to physical activity. The day of action is made possible by the funding program "More Prevention for our SPORTLAND HESSEN – Hesse Stays Active".
Location, accessibility and registration
The event will take place in the SKV Hall in Nauheim , Königstädter Straße 75. The premises are wheelchair accessible and can be reached by elevator. Registration for the free event is required by March 6, 2026 , as the number of participants is limited.
