Working group "Senior -friendly district of Bergstrasse" recommends nature experience in the Odenwald
Grasellenbach. In July, the Senior Circle of Bergstrasse, which is friendly to Grasellenbach in the Odenwald, presents the Workership and Air Curve as a worthwhile destination for senior citizens and their relatives. The monthly changing destination is presented on the website of the Bergstrasse district senior advisory board .
Nature, relaxation and exercise in the UNESCO-Geopark
Grasellenbach is located at a height of around 500 meters and also offers a pleasantly cool climate on hot summer days - ideal for a trip to nature. Nibelungenhalle is suitable as the starting point for a walk , where the local tourist office offers orientation. Information boards, signposts and route suggestions make planning easier.
A popular circular route leads to the Gassbach valley - with no significant gradients and therefore well suited for all ages. Alternatively, the route can be chosen on the other side of the Gassbach valley. There, sculptures , ponds , a forest educational path and two Kneipp facilities with pedal and arm basin invite you to linger and experience. The water used comes directly from the sources of the region.
For everyone who likes it, there is a small golf course , fitness equipment and several playgrounds for younger companions. Cafés and restaurants along the way ensure culinary breaks. Toilets are available at the Nibelungenhalle.
