Exhibition of works by Aida Hiseni opens at Riedstadt Town Hall
Aida Hiseni in the stairwell gallery of the town hall in Riedstadt, the town of Büchner . The presentation deliberately adds colorful accents to the often dreary winter season and can be viewed during the first half of 2026 during the town hall's regular opening hours .
At the opening, Mayor Marcus Kretschmann emphasized the importance of the stairwell gallery, which, with its changing exhibitions, provides variety in the administrative building and offers insights into regional artistic creation. This is especially true for the current exhibition, which impresses with its vibrant colors and diverse motifs.
Alongside energetic abstract works, Aida Hiseni also showcases her fondness for animal motifs. The exhibition includes paintings of dogs and cats, as well as a meticulously detailed depiction of a robin. An expressive portrait of a German Shepherd hangs on the floor of the mayor's office and brought particular joy to the self-confessed dog lover, Kretschmann.
Aida Hiseni holds a doctorate in biosciences and works as a scientist. However, her passion for art has been with her since childhood. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she intensified her artistic pursuits. She also founded "Opidoworld," an art school for children and adults.
As cultural affairs director Marco Hardy announced, further collaboration with the artist is already planned. At the end of April, a children's art exhibition will open in the art gallery at the Büchnerhaus, showcasing works from a winter fun workshop organized by the youth office, as well as from another workshop held during the Easter holidays. A creative workshop with Aida Hiseni, focusing on painting, crafting, and design, will accompany the exhibition.
