"Your Voice Counts" showcases creative contributions from young people
From February 19 to March 13, 2026, the exhibition "Local Elections 2026 – Your Vote Counts!" Groß-Gerau District Office . The posters on display were created as part of a workshop organized by the district youth services and the youth education center.
Trainees and students from the district administration engaged intensively with the significance of the local elections and translated their thoughts into their own artistic works. The focus was on questions of democratic participation and the influence of local political decisions on the everyday lives of young people.
Thematically, the exhibited posters addressed areas such as public transport, digitalization, and education. Participants perceived these topics as particularly relevant, as local political decisions have a direct and tangible impact in these areas. The workshop combined political education with creative methods and provided a forum for exchange and the development of individual perspectives.
The exhibition will remain accessible at the district office in Groß-Gerau until the 2026 local elections and makes visible how young people engage with democracy and local politics.
