Artworks by Frankfurt studio McKiev on display from 23 October
Darmstadt. On Thursday, October 23 , "Seeing People" 7 p.m. in the Open House (Rheinstraße 31) . The Protestant Deanery of Darmstadt invites you to the vernissage, which presents works by artists from the Frankfurt-based studio McKiev .
"Every glance at another person triggers an interplay of thoughts, emotions, and moods," says Natalia Makievski , founder of the studio, describing the exhibition theme. "What we see, how we see others—and how we recognize ourselves in the gaze of others—is like looking into a kaleidoscope." The artist will give an introduction at the opening. Stephan Makievski for the evening with hand pan, didgeridoo, and percussion .
The exhibition runs until January 9, 2026 , and is Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Open House.
Atelier McKiev sees itself as a creative space for exchange and encounter. The group exhibition features works by Margit Binz, Ina Ferber, Jens Rickmann, Nataliya Kraynyukowa, Cornelius Meißner, Mei Mei Peng, Stefanie Röglin , and Magdalena Stachura . The focus is on portraits in oil, on paper, as reliefs, and as clay sculptures . The show is complemented by still lifes and landscapes that offer individual perspectives on human existence.
