A poster exhibition from September 4th to October 21st commemorates the role of youth in the resistance
Darmstadt. “We wanted to be free and owe this freedom to ourselves” – under this motto, the German Polish Institute the Warsaw Uprising of 1944 from September 4 to October 21, 2025. The exhibition focuses on the Scout Post Office, which was set up by children and young people during the uprising to maintain communication among the civilian population.

Opening and opening hours
The exhibition will open on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at 6 p.m. Harald Rosteck (curator, Pfadfinder-Förderkreis Nordbayern e. V.) and Prof. Dr. Peter Oliver Loew , director of the German Polish Institute, will speak at the opening
