Next construction phases start at the end of June – full closure planned at Lake Brentano
The expansion of Jägertorstraße is progressing. According to the Mobility Department, the work is currently on schedule. The first construction phases between Bartningstraße and Waltherstraße are expected to be completed by the end of June or the beginning of July. Immediately afterward, work will begin on the next phases, from Waltherstraße to Gruberstraße .
The cycle and pedestrian path network will be redesigned
The new construction phases will not only see the road renovated, but also the construction of sidewalks and a cycle path . Additionally, sewer and utility lines will be renewed . The culvert for the Ruthsenbach and Mühlbach streams at Lake Brentano will also be rebuilt: the existing bridges for pedestrians, cyclists, and cars will be demolished and replaced by a new culvert structure.
These measures necessitate a complete closure of Jägertorstraße in the area of Lake Brentano . The existing detour signage for motorized traffic will then also be extended to include bicycle and pedestrian traffic . Residents in the immediate vicinity will be informed directly by letter from the Mobility and Civil Engineering Office starting at the end of June.
