Both medical aspects and personal wishes are taken into account. The costs for a purely cosmetic eyelid lift are to be paid privately.

The outpatient procedure, in which both eyes are operated on in one session, is performed under local anesthesia and usually lasts 45 to 60 minutes . If desired, an anesthesiologist can administer pain medication or sedatives intravenously. The sutures are removed after about a week , and patients are generally able to resume their normal social activities . Visible rejuvenation and a more alert appearance are usually noticeable within a short time.
