Advice and information for families in Darmstadt
The City of Darmstadt invites you to a Family Information Day on Thursday, March 5, 2026, in the Rosa Parks Hall in the Lincoln Estate (Mahalia-Jackson-Straße 1c). The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and offers comprehensive information on support services for families.
Representatives from various institutions will be on-site to provide individual advice and information about available services. Participating agencies include the Family Benefits Office, the Job Center, the Office for Social Affairs and Prevention, the Youth Welfare Office, and the HIPPY project of the German Red Cross.
Support for child allowance, housing benefit and education
The family information day provides information on topics such as child allowance, the education and participation package, housing benefit, and childcare places. The aim is to make support services easily accessible, transparent, and located close to home.
Mayor Barbara Akdeniz emphasizes the importance of the event. Especially in challenging times, it is crucial that families have easy access to advice and information. The Family Information Day is also a key component of the municipality's strategy against child poverty.
Fourth edition in different city districts
This event is taking place for the fourth time and is held in different parts of the city each year. In addition to families, professionals who work with and for families are also invited to learn about existing services and to exchange ideas.
