Replacement for Ralf Stiewe concert on March 1st in the Ludwigskirche
The carnival concert as part of the ecumenical Darmstadt organ winter will receive a new interpreter at short notice: Gereon Krahforst takes over the concert on March 1 at 6 p.m. in the Ludwigskirche after Ralf Stiewe had to cancel due to illness.
Cheerful organ sounds and improvisations
The concert offers a varied program that works by Scott Joplin, Henri Mancini and L.-J.-A. Lefébure-Wély . A special highlight are Krahforsts improvisations about well -known Mainz and Cologne carnival songs as well as famous film music .
The game is played on the symphonic winter holder of the Ludwigskirche, which underlines the festive character of the program with its sound spectrum.
Gereon Krahforst - experienced concert organist
Gereon Krahforst is the organist of the Benedictine Abbey Maria Laach and previously was a Paderborn cathedral organist and lecturer at the Hannover University of Music . His concert activity already led him to numerous international stages.
Free admission - donations welcome
After the concert, there is the opportunity to meet drinks and small snacks . Admission is free , donations in favor of church music at St. Ludwig are welcome.
