Artist talk, short videos and last tours of coffee and croissant on July 26th
Darmstadt. The exhibition of the Netuschil gallery with works by Carolin Liebl, Nikolas Schmid-Pfätter, Oliver Czaretta, Nele Waldert and Gerd Winter approaches its end- but beforehand the gallery invites you to a special art and science format : On Saturday, July 26, 2025 , the artists and artists are personally on site 10 a.m. Visitors can talk about coffee and croissant, experience the last mini tours and learn more about the use of plastics in contemporary art.
Plastics between innovation, everyday life and artistic expression
The current exhibition addresses the area of tension between plastic as a material , its importance for everyday life, technology and sustainability as well as its aesthetic and content processing in art. The material, which was developed by Otto Röhm in Darmstadt , changed everyday life worldwide - from technology to art. Since then, plexiglass and other polymers have shaped our real environment.
Successful artist discussion with a scientific perspective
artist Talk received special attention with the artist duo Carolin Liebl & Nikolas Schmid-Pfelle and the plastic technique professor Dr. Martin Moneke from the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences. For around two hours, the participants discussed material research, molecular structures, aesthetic practice and the social relevance of plastic. The conversation was complemented by short videos on the artistic creation and scientific insights from polymer research.
The artist duo Liebl & Schmid-Pfätters (born in 1989 and 1987) lives and works in Offenbach and is known for interactive and material-related work in the border area of art, technology and perception.
Last day of exhibition with conversation and breakfast
The finissage offers the opportunity to personally talk to the artists - in a relaxed atmosphere over coffee, croissants and short tours through the exhibition.
