Live music, browsing and summer atmosphere in the Bürgerpark on August 1st and 2nd
On the first weekend in August, the Martinsviertel district will once again transform into an open-air treasure trove: The Martinsviertel District Association invites everyone to its popular open-air flea market and traditional community gathering Friday, August 1st, and Saturday, August 2nd, 2025. As usual, the event will take place in the Bürgerpark (public park) and at the BVM barbecue hut at Kastanienallee 17.
Haggling and celebrating in the countryside
The flea market opens on Friday at 4 pm – no prior registration is required, and a sales table costs €15. Important: Pre-marking stall spaces is prohibited and will be removed. Setup begins at 6 pm .
Simultaneously, at 6 p.m., the community gathering at the BVM grill hut, featuring culinary offerings from Robin Winkel and his team. In addition to classic grilled dishes and cold drinks, sparkling wine and wine stand ENDORPHINE will provide the musical entertainment , inviting everyone to dance to their rocking tunes.
Saturday evening concludes with coffee and cake
On Saturday, August 2nd , the program continues from 2 pm : Visitors can enjoy coffee and cake 3 pm .
The open-air flea market in the Martinsviertel is considered one of the most atmospheric in Darmstadt – not only because of its green ambience in the Bürgerpark, but also thanks to the mix of neighborly spirit, music and conviviality.
