The Parks and Green Spaces Department provides information about modern and traditional burial methods in Darmstadt
The city of Darmstadt invites you to a free guided tour of the Waldfriedhof cemetery on Sunday, April 13th, at 11:00 AM. The tour will focus on the evolution of cemetery and burial culture in Darmstadt from the early 20th century to the present day.
Holger Wagner from the Parks Department will provide insights into the development of burial traditions and the current burial options available at the forest cemetery during the guided tour. Modern forms such as tree burials and urn burials will also be discussed.
The meeting point is the main entrance of the forest cemetery . Participation is free of charge, and the entrance is wheelchair accessible.
