"Sharing Together" event on December 6th in Reinheim
As announced by the sponsoring association Diakoniezentrum Groß-Bieberau eV and the city of Reinheim, the fourth fundraising campaign in support of the Groß-Bieberau food bank will take place on Saturday, December 6, 2025. The "Sharing Together" campaign is aimed at everyone who wants to support people in the Gersprenz Valley and surrounding area – including many people in need from Reinheim.
Support for people without a regional food bank
Four out of ten customers of the Groß-Bieberau food bank now come from Reinheim. In addition, the facility also provides food to people from Fischbachtal, Modautal, and other districts where there is no food bank. To ensure this assistance continues, donations of non-perishable food items are needed.
Donations can be dropped off on December 6th in Spachbrücken.
The donation drive will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Spachbrücken multi-purpose hall (Lessingstraße 1). Only originally packaged, non-perishable, and non-refrigerated food items such as flour, pasta, sugar, canned goods, and non-alcoholic beverages will be accepted. Fresh produce, frozen products, and fruits and vegetables cannot be accepted.
Thanks and appeal to the population
The food counter team, together with employees of the city of Reinheim, accepts the donations and then ensures a fair distribution to all those entitled to them.
Jochen Gaydoul, Chairman of the Diakoniezentrum Groß-Bieberau eV, thanks all supporters:
“Many thanks in advance for your help and support. If you would like to learn more about the food counter, please feel free to contact us or visit our website.”
Reinheim's mayor, Manuel Feick, also emphasizes the importance of the campaign:
"Unfortunately, the number of people in need increases year after year. Therefore, my request: If you are able, please donate some food and help people for whom a hot meal is not a given."
