Darmstadt youth houses organize inclusive tournament on June 28th / TU Darmstadt.
On Saturday, June 28, 2025, the University Stadium will once again become a meeting point for football -loving children and young people: The tournament "Football for everyone" goes into its third round. It is organized by mobile youth work, the rope sports clubs and the municipal youth houses in Messeler Straße, Akazienweg and GO-in. The patron is Mayor Barbara Akdeniz.
"The football tournament is a great way for children and adolescents to actively experience the sport and to strengthen the feeling of community," emphasizes Akdeniz.
The tournament is aimed at young people between the ages of 10 and 21 who are looked after in Darmstadt youth centers or social institutions. Registration takes place directly via the respective facilities and should enable uncomplicated access.
Sport, community and inclusion in focus
"Our tournament is not about winning, but about a strong community experience," says Tim Junker from the Akazienweg youth center. The motto "Football for everyone" underlines the integrative character of the event.
Erik Thomann from mobile youth work Werkhof e. V. emphasizes the importance of the tournament: "Prejudices are broken down and similarities are created - especially the joy of football."
The game is played in two age groups: from 10 to 15 years and from 15 to 21 years. The sporting part begins at 10 a.m., the official greeting takes place at 11.30 a.m. The TU Darmstadt supports the event as a cooperation partner and provides the soccer field in the university stadium.
The team of the university stadium ensures catering - even away from the square, it should be an all -round successful summer experience.
