Children and youth services are committed to fighting racism and exclusion
Under the motto "Give racism no chance – We stand for diversity, tolerance and respect," the annual indoor soccer tournament of the Reinheim Children's and Youth Development Association took place in the Georgenhausen/Zeilhard sports hall. Young people aged 9 to 14 played in four teams, not only for goals and points, but above all to send a clear social message.
First place went to the FCO Albert Einstein , followed by JUZE Alsbach , Aluminium FC / Reinheim , and Fair Play Kickers Roßdorf FCO Albert Einstein and Fair Play Kickers Roßdorf teams , who won the Fair Play award and received certificates.
Prominent support for a clear message
A particular highlight was the participation of Marco Sailer , former player of SV Darmstadt 98, who, together with Dr. Michael Vollmer , chairman of the working group for youth, read a greeting from Sebastian Rode (Eintracht Frankfurt). Rode, ambassador of the Hessian State Prevention Council, emphasized:
"There must be no place for racism, hate speech and exclusion in our society."
The tournament was directed by Günter Six and junior referee Roben . Further support came from the Reinheim Youth Forum , where Josefine and Konrad organized a raffle. Prizes included a signed SV 98 football , a Sebastian Rode jersey , and an Eintracht Frankfurt jersey .
The event was narrated by Louis , while the organizing team of Jessy and Tim Silas , also from the youth center, provided refreshments aid services were provided by the German Red Cross (DRK) Georgenhausen branch and its dedicated youth group.
A strong sign of respect and togetherness
City youth officer Siggi Elsner was pleased:
"The tournament was a complete success and a strong sign of respectful coexistence. A big thank you to everyone involved – the young people are already hoping for a repeat performance."
Mayor Manuel Feick also praised the tournament as a successful example of lived values:
