Jazz classics from the American Songbook at the Schneppenhausen community center
The cultural affairs department of the city of Weiterstadt presents the Frankfurt Jazz Trio in a special lineup featuring renowned jazz singer Barbara Bürkle . In this "Special Edition," Thomas Cremer (drums), Olaf Polziehn (piano), and Jean-Philippe Wadle (double bass) join Bürkle to interpret well-known jazz classics from the American Songbook .
The program includes works by Cole Porter , George Gershwin , Antonio Carlos Jobim , Kurt Weill, and other important composers. The ensemble combines stylistic diversity with musical precision and a clear, expressive vocal voice.
Barbara Bürkle is one of Germany's most distinguished jazz singers and has toured the world with the German National Youth Jazz Orchestra, among others. The Frankfurt Jazz Trio brings together internationally experienced musicians who have been established figures in the European jazz scene for many years.
Concert date and ticket sales
The concert will take place on Friday, January 30th , at the Bürgerhaus Schneppenhausen .
Doors open at 7:30 pm , and the concert starts at 8:00 pm . Tickets cost €25 and are available at the Weiterstadt town hall.
Drinks will be provided. Due to limited parking, arrival by public transport recommended (line WE1 , stop Schneppenhausen Feuerwehr ).
