The Reading Foundation supports early language and reading development for three-year-olds
Free reading starter kits from the Reading Foundation for three-year-old children are now available again at the city library in the district town of Groß-Gerau . This offer is aimed at families who want to support their children's early language acquisition and access to books.
The reading starter sets consist of a fabric bag , an age-appropriate picture book , and a multilingual parent booklet with practical tips for reading aloud and everyday life . The aim is to support parents in firmly integrating reading aloud into family life.
The nationwide program "Lesestart 1-2-3" is organized by the Reading Foundation and financially supported by the Federal Ministry for Research, Technology and Space . It focuses on early and continuous language and reading development in the first years of life.
Families with one- and two-year-old children can pick up the Reading Start book gifts at participating pediatricians' offices . The Reading Start set for three-year-old children is available free of charge at participating libraries – including the Groß-Gerau city library.
