City invites you to the digital information event - city green and freedom in the focus of urban development
The science city of Darmstadt will present its open space concept in an online information event on Tuesday, May 6, 2025. The digital event begins at 4 p.m. and is carried out via Webex. The aim is to present the strategy to secure and develop city green and open spaces and to talk to the public together.
"The open space concept is a framework plan for the entire settlement area. It serves to secure and expand freedom and city green permanently," explains green area center Michael Kolmer. "These areas take on important functions for relaxation, health, climate protection and biodiversity. That is why it is important to us to actively involve the citizens."
The inventory assessment has been completed and for the first time enables a spatially differentiated analysis of the freedom supply in all of Darmstadt. This results in concrete references to the needs of action - for example in the lack of usability in certain quarters. Building on this, measures to improve, secure or new freedom are developed.
Participation in the online event is free of charge. Interested parties can now register via the urban website www.darmstadt.de or by email to gruenflaechenamt@darmstadt.de . After successfully registering, the invitation link will be sent to the event.
