Hessen Mobil collects garbage along federal, state and district roads until the end of April
As Hessen reports Mobil, the nationwide spring cleaning on South Hesse's streets has started. As part of the annual basic cleaning, federal, state and district roads have been released from waste since the end of March. The campaign also serves to prepare the upcoming mowing season on banquets and trenches.
In addition to the road walking green and nodes, junctions, rest areas and parking areas are also cleaned. What sweeping machines do not capture is collected by hand with garbage tongs. Route sections between Rüsselsheim and Neckarsteinach as well as in the Ried and on the state border in the Odenwald are particularly affected.
Security has priority - appeal to road users
Hessen Mobil asks all road users for special caution in the coming weeks. Employees of the roadmasters and commissioned specialist companies stay directly in the street at the garbage collection campaign and must not be endangered.

The financial effort is enormous: around 1.25 million euros were applied in 2023 for disposal by external companies alone. In addition, there are 700,000 euros for internal services and 12,700 working hours , which were done directly by Hessen Mobil.
