Insights into the work of the neonatology team and modern care concepts
On Friday, May 9, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., the Darmstadt Clinic cordially invites everyone interested to get to know the committed early and newborn team of neonatology. The event takes place in the lecture room of the clinic at Grafenstraße 9.
One of ten babies is born too early. The neonatology team of the Darmstadt children's clinics Princess Margaret ensures that these tiny patients receive the best possible support. A close cooperation between neonatology and maternity clinic is essential to ensure opportunities for survival and health of the newborns.
At the event, various stations will present work and equipment at the neonatology stations. Among other things, visitors can get to know the world's smallest high-tech patient simulator "Paul"-a realistic early-born model that measures 35 centimeters and weighs about 1,000 grams. The mobile birth table "Birth trolley" for primary care is also presented.
In addition, doctors, doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and breastfeeding consultants inform about offers for families with premature babies. A photo exhibition by the Federal Association "The premature Born Kind" EV impressively shows the development of premature babies in the first five years of life.
The Perinatalzentrum South Hesse Level 1, a cooperation between the neonatology of the children's clinics and the birth clinic of the clinic, offers early and newborns a comprehensive specialized supply.
On May 9, interested parties have the opportunity to get an insight into the highest specialized care of the smallest patients and to get into conversation with the experts.
