OBO and Klaus Dengler will play guitar music in the style of flamenco, oriental and Mediterranean on May 11th
Mediterranean guitar romance awaits the audience on Sunday, May 11, 2025 , at 5 p.m. in the historic water tower at Darmstadt's main train station . In a roughly 50-minute concert, OBO and Klaus Dengler compositions for guitar and bass inspired by the flair of southern countries and evocative soundscapes.
The focus is on OBO's own compositions, which draw on elements of oriental, Spanish, and Mediterranean music. The Darmstadt-based musician has been active as a composer and guitarist for over 45 years and has developed a diverse repertoire over the decades. As early as the 1980s, he toured with the legendary "El Duo Flamenco" as a cultural ambassador for the city of Darmstadt, performing in its European twin cities.
The spring concert invites you to a relaxed musical afternoon – with authentic guitar sounds that evoke images of sun-drenched landscapes and Mediterranean joie de vivre.
