E-bikes, fat bikes and more: Lost and found office invites you to a public auction at the Luisencenter
On Saturday, April 26, the lost and found office of the city of Darmstadt will auction off numerous lost items, including a total of 49 bicycles. The auction will take place at the Citizens' and Public Order Office in the Luisencenter, starting at 11:00 a.m. Paul Georg Wandrey, Head of Public Order and Transportation, will act as auctioneer.
Highlights of the auction include an e-bike and a fat bike. Also up for auction are a steam cooker, a wall and ceiling sander, and a brand-new, unopened car jack. Mobile phones are excluded from the auction for data protection reasons.
The bicycle auction will begin around 12:30 pm in the courtyard of the town hall at Grafenstraße 30. On offer are women's, men's, and children's bicycles in varying conditions – from "well-preserved" to "suitable for hobbyists." All bicycles have been previously inspected by the police.
Access to the event is only possible via the escalator in the Luisencenter. A list of the bicycles to be auctioned will be published on the city's website a few days before the event:
