Renovation work is expected to take two months – alternative halls are ready
Due to water damage, the funeral hall at the Gräfenhausen-Schneppenhausen Cemetery unusable for approximately two months since the beginning of October 2025. The cause is leaks in the old slate roof , which have led to moisture penetration into the suspended wooden ceiling .
To prevent further damage, both the roof and the ceiling cladding be completely replaced. During the renovation, the funeral halls at the Weiterstadt and Braunshardt cemeteries available alternative accommodations
