Cable car, climbing towers and more – investments for fun and safety in Braunshardt and Schneppenhausen
The city is continuing its targeted investment in public playgrounds in 2025. €50,000 allocated for this purpose in the city budget. new zip line Am Krötenberg in Schneppenhausen – a highlight that is proving very popular with young adventurers.
A major project is currently being prepared for the playground in Braunshardter Tännchen . After the old tower-slide combination had to be dismantled last year for safety reasons, a modern replacement will now follow: A new play structure with three towers to be installed in September 2025
The planned play structure offers a variety of climbing opportunities and two different ways to descend – a slide and a fireman's pole. A special feature is the S-shaped climbing net that connects one tower to the next. This is complemented by a net bridge with a handrail, a climbing wall, and a ladder. The elements are designed to provide both fun and promote motor skills development.
For stability and durability, the structure is mounted on wooden posts with steel bases . Installation on prefabricated foundations allows for quick and environmentally friendly implementation . The total cost for the new playground equipment amounts to approximately €22,000 .
The Viking swing set at another playground should also be ready for use again soon: The replacement parts have been ordered and are expected within the next three weeks. After that, the popular play equipment can be used in its entirety again.
