Specialist departments from the city and district are offering an appointment for educational professionals on June 23rd
The specialist agencies for addiction prevention of the district of Darmstadt-Dieburg and the city of Darmstadt (Network ROPE eV) are offering a full-day training course on Monday, June 23, 2025 for professionals who work with children from families affected by addiction.
The event will take place from 9 am to 5 pm at the branch office of the children's and youth services at Mina-Rees-Straße 2 , Darmstadt.
Basic knowledge and confidence in action in everyday professional life
focuses on fundamental knowledge about addiction and addicted caregivers , understanding roles within a family system affected by addiction, and legal aspects. It is aimed at professionals in social and educational fields who work with affected children and adolescents.
Strengthening child protection
Darmstadt's Head of Youth and Social Affairs, Barbara Akdeniz, emphasizes:
"Children from families affected by addiction often carry an invisible burden. This training empowers the people who encounter them daily with knowledge and confidence in their actions – an important contribution to child protection."
Christel Sprößler also emphasizes:
"It is important that professionals are sensitized early on in order to strengthen affected children and pass on support services."

Participation requires binding registration , including name, institution, and contact details, to fsp@ladadi.de . Further training on this topic is planned for the second half of the year.
