Barrier-free expansion at the Wilhelm Busch School planned until the end of the summer vacation
The renewal of the pedestrian traffic lights at the Wilhelm Busch primary school will begin in the coming weeks. As Hessen communicates, the work should be completed by the end of the Hessian summer vacation.
The existing traffic light system is replaced by a modern, barrier -free system due to age. During the construction period, the school road is narrowed in the area of the construction site. A provisional pedestrian tour is set up for foot traffic in order to continue to enable the safe crossing.
The cost of the measure amounts to around 33,000 euros. The city of Weiterstadt takes over around 7,000 euros, the rest of the amount is borne by the Darmstadt-Dieburg district.
