Barrier-free expansion at the Wilhelm-Busch-School planned by the end of the summer holidays
The replacement of the pedestrian traffic light near the Wilhelm Busch Elementary School on county road K 165 in Schneppenhausen will begin in the coming weeks. Hessen Mobil reports that the work should be completed by the end of the Hessian summer holidays.
The existing traffic light system is being replaced with a modern, accessible system due to its age. During construction, Schulstraße will be narrowed in the construction area. A temporary pedestrian walkway will be set up to ensure safe crossing.
The project will cost approximately €33,000. The city of Weiterstadt will cover around €7,000 of this, with the remaining amount being borne by the Darmstadt-Dieburg district.
