Trainees receive financial and everyday knowledge about taxes, housing and insurance
Darmstadt. How do I find an apartment, which insurance policies do I really need, and how does filing a tax return actually work? The Darmstadt Rhine-Main-Neckar Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) offers answers to these and other questions at its 2025 Future Day . Under the motto "Crash Course for Life," trainees and young professionals from southern Hesse will receive a full-day overview of finance, housing, taxes, and insurance .
The free event will take place on Monday, November 24, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Darmstadt Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK Darmstadt), Rheinstraße 89.Registration is possible until November 3, 2025 at www.ihk.de/darmstadt (search number 6730476).
Financial knowledge for starting your career
Starting a career brings important topics that are usually only touched upon briefly in school. At the Future Day, participants learn how to manage their finances, avoid debt , and properly conclude contracts.
In interactive workshops , speakers from the South Hessian business community and employees of the Hessian tax administration practical tips. The aim is to prepare young adults for everyday life – from their first apartment to filing their tax return.
Cooperation for improved life skills
The Future Day is organized by the Darmstadt Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the Hessian Ministry of Finance and the Initiative for Economic Youth Education.
“With the Future Day, we impart to young people the knowledge they really need to shape their lives independently,” said the Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
