Meeting points in the city districts have been determined
The town of Riedstadt, known for its connection to the author Büchner, is calling for its sixth annual town-wide litter collection campaign. In cooperation with local associations, clean-up will take place in several districts on Saturday, February 28th. In Wolfskehlen, the event will be held on Sunday, March 1st.
Collection dates on February 28th
Crumstadt: Jahnplatz at the gymnasium, 10:00 a.m
Erfelden: TV Erfelden gymnasium, Rheinallee 30, 10:00 a.m
Leeheim: Corner of Erfelder Straße, Geinsheimer Straße, Hauptstraße and Riedhäuserhofstraße, 9:30 a.m
Wolfskehlen on March 1st
Wolfskehlen: Community Center, Albert-Schweitzer-Straße 4, 10:00 a.m
The garbage collection campaign in Goddelau is cancelled this year.
Support from the city
Several clubs have been organizing their own clean-up campaigns or regularly cleaning specific areas for many years. The city is now combining these initiatives into a single, city-wide campaign.
The city administration provides a budget in each district for refreshments for the volunteers. A snack is planned after each cleanup. The municipal works department will handle the collection and proper disposal of the collected waste.
For personal protection, the city recommends wearing highly visible safety vests.
