EAD: Recycling center, hazardous waste site and composting facility closed on October 3
As announced by the Darmstadt City of Science's Municipal Authority for Municipal Tasks and Services (EAD), due to the German Unity Day holiday (October 3), trash collections will be brought forward . In addition, the recycling center, hazardous waste collection point, and composting facility will be closed on this day.
Changed collection dates in week 40
The emptying of the waste bins will be postponed as follows:
- Monday, September 29 → Saturday, September 27
- Tuesday, September 30 → Monday, September 29
- Wednesday, October 1 → Tuesday, September 30
- Thursday, October 2 → Wednesday, October 1
- Friday, October 3 → Thursday, October 2
The EAD requests that all households place their waste containers at the curbside and make them accessible for disposal starting at 6 a.m.
Closed facilities on public holidays
On Friday, October 3, the following EAD facilities will be closed:
- Recycling center and hazardous waste collection point , Sensfelderweg 33
- Composting plant , Eckhardwiesenstraße 25
