Municipal utilities recommend regular checks
The Seeheim-Jugenheim municipal utilities advise owners of garden water meters to regularly check the calibration period of their devices. This is due to the upcoming gardening season, during which many households will again be using more water for irrigation.
Replacement required after six years
In Seeheim-Jugenheim, approximately 2,000 private garden water meters are currently registered. These – as well as the municipality's roughly 5,000 meters – must be replaced every six years, as their calibration period expires after that time.
Only meters with valid calibration can be included in the year-end statement. The calibration period is valid until the end of the year indicated on the seal.
