LGBT*IQ Network South Hesse and vielbunt eV invite you to Café BlueBee on August 22nd
On Friday, August 22, 2025, the LGBT*IQ Network South Hesse and the association vielbunt eV a Generations Café at Café BlueBee, located at Lauteschlägerstraße 28 in Darmstadt. It begins at 4 p.m. Under the title "Generations in Dialogue," young and old queer people will come together to exchange experiences, perspectives, and visions.
Exchange across generations
The lives of LGBTIQ people are shaped by diverse historical experiences. While older generations fought for visibility and rights in times of social exclusion, younger queer people today face new challenges – from discrimination in the digital space to questions of self-realization.
New format for meetings
The Generation Café will take place four times a year and offers a space for personal discussions about coming out, activism, queer life, and future issues. The goal is to promote understanding between generations, strengthen networks, and jointly develop strategies against discrimination.
"We want to make the experiences of older LGBTIQ people visible and simultaneously promote exchange with younger generations. Only together can we strengthen queer life in all phases of life," emphasizes Gönni Landsmann, coordinator of the LGBT IQ Network South Hesse.
