Connection and support for an important institution
From February 2025, the science city of Darmstadt leaves rooms in the Residenzschloss for another ten years to the German Poland Institute (DPI), which rented the city from the Technical University of Darmstadt (TUD). Mayor Hanno Benz and city treasurer André Schellenberg announced this after signing corresponding contracts.

In our rooms, ideas for exciting projects and cultural events for Darmstadt and all of Germany will continue to be created, ”says the director of the German Poland Institute, Prof. Dr. Peter Oliver Loew.
Like the President of TUD, Prof. Dr. Tanja Brühl emphasizes, “The German Poland Institute is an important part of the science castle of the TU Darmstadt.
