Anniversary edition of the popular city voucher presented
The GG voucher 15th anniversary this November – and is being released in a newly designed version with a fresh protective cover. Since its introduction in 2010, the city voucher has become one of the most successful local economic tools in Groß-Gerau.
The GG voucher was originally introduced through a collaboration between the local business association, the town of Groß-Gerau, and several sponsors – some of whom continue to support the project today. The voucher received a significant boost in 2019: with the introduction of the digital GG voucher, the system became more flexible, user-friendly, and versatile. The voucher can be digitally loaded with up to €200 , redeemed in installments used by employers as a tax-free benefit in kind
Purchasing power retention strengthens the economic location
The decisive advantage: Purchasing power remains in Groß-Gerau.
" All participating businesses benefit from the large volume of vouchers, and customers appreciate the wide range of acceptance points ," emphasized Jörg Leinekugel , chairman of the business association, at a small ceremony.
Currently, there are 65 participating businesses that accept the GG voucher – from retail and restaurants to service providers. Participation in the network is free online sales platform at www.ggscheck.de has been particularly successful.

A voucher that connects the city
“ For a decade and a half now, the GG voucher has contributed to the attractiveness and promotion of the city center. It not only strengthens local retailers, but also the sense of community in Groß-Gerau ,” says Mayor Jörg Rüddenklau .
The GG check thus remains a central instrument for supporting the local economy – and a piece of lived community in Groß-Gerau.
