Science City Darmstadt invites you to the Bessunger Boys' School on 26 September
On Friday, September 26, 2025 the "Girls* in Action 2025" will take place at the Bessungen Boys' School . From 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., girls and young women can look forward to a varied, creative, and free program organized by the Girls* Working Group (MAK) in cooperation with the Child and Youth Services Department of the Youth Welfare Office.
Spaces for participation and empowerment
"The 'Girls* in Action' event exemplifies the importance of safe and empowering spaces where girls and young women can explore new possibilities, raise their voices, and strengthen each other," emphasizes Mayor Barbara Akdeniz . "The Girls* Working Group and the Children and Youth Services are setting a strong example for girls' work and equal opportunities."
Creative workshops and open stage
The focus will be on creative workshops : screen printing on clothing, glitter and henna tattoos, stained glass painting, cocktail mixing, and much more. Food and drink will also be provided.
A highlight is the open stage , where girls and young women can showcase their talents – whether in music, dance, poetry slam, or other art forms. A party with DJ QT and DJ Tilly things off the evening.
