The science city of Darmstadt invites you to the Bessunger Knabenschule on September 26th
On Friday, September 26, 2025 the event "Girls* in Action 2025" will take place at the Bessunger Knabenschule (Bessunger . From 3 pm to 10 pm, girls and young women can expect a diverse, creative, and free program, organized by the Girls* Working Group (MAK) in cooperation with the Youth Welfare Office's Child and Youth Services.
Spaces for participation and empowerment
“The ‘Girls* in Action’ event exemplifies the importance of safe and empowering spaces where girls and young women can try things out, raise their voices, and strengthen each other,” emphasizes Mayor Barbara Akdeniz . “The Girls* Working Group and the Children and Youth Services are sending a strong message here in support of girls' work and equal opportunities.”
Creative workshops and open stage
The focus is on creative workshops : screen printing on clothing, glitter and henna tattoos, glass painting, cocktail mixing, and much more. Food and drinks will also be provided.
A highlight is the open stage , where girls and young women can showcase their talents – whether through music, dance, poetry slam, or other art forms. The event concludes with a party featuring DJ QT and DJ Tilly .
Safely home
To ensure that all participants get home safely, the M*AK has organized a shuttle service .
