Kick-off to the bathing season with free entry, children's program and regional wine selection
The Goddelau outdoor swimming pool will officially open for the season with a grand opening celebration on Saturday, May 17th. Admission is free on this day. The pool opens at 10:00 AM, and the festivities begin at 12:00 PM and run until 7:30 PM.
Entertainment will be provided by the Goddelau Open-Air Swimming Pool Association, including sparkling wine and face painting for children. The "Time Out Bus" will bring games, sports equipment, and a giant foosball table between 12:00 and 3:30 pm. Adults can enjoy regional wines from the Palatinate and Rheinhessen regions, served by Frank Cetto's "Woi Mobil" (Gude Woi).
Online tickets and new access technology
From May 17th, the swimming pool will be open daily from 10:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Tickets are available online at www.riedstadt.de – under “Living in Riedstadt/Swimming in Riedstadt” or directly from the homepage. A ticket machine is available on-site; there will no longer be a ticket booth. The city recommends purchasing tickets online to avoid waiting times.
For the past two years, a modern access system with turnstiles, a personnel door, and reusable plastic cards has been in use. A one-time deposit of €5 is charged for season tickets and value cards, which is refunded upon return.
Overview of admission prices
Prices remain unchanged compared to last year:
- Adults: Single entry 4 euros, evening ticket (from 6:30 pm) 2 euros, season ticket 70 euros
- Reduced price (under 18, students, trainees, volunteer card holders, people with disabilities ≥50%): Single admission 2 euros, evening ticket 1 euro, season ticket 35 euros
- Free entry: Children up to 6 years old, children with a city pass (under 18 years old), children with disabilities (≥50%)
- Accompanying persons: pay youth rate unless they are swimming themselves.
The end of the bathing season is scheduled for September 8th.
