City of Darmstadt and Bedroomdisco eV secure early planning for the indie festival at Steinbrücker Teich
The Science City of Darmstadt and the Bedroomdisco eV 2026 Golden Leaves Festival at the New Town Hall on Thursday (28) . This ensures the use of the site at Steinbrücker Teich for the coming year. As a token of the good cooperation, the festival organizers presented Mayor Hanno Benz the first Golden Leaves ticket for 2026.
"With this important agreement, we are creating early planning security for the festival and providing a stable foundation for a cultural flagship known far beyond Darmstadt's borders," said Benz. He thanked the administrative bodies involved for making this renewed agreement possible.
The festival organizers were also pleased: “The contract extension gives us the support we need to bring exciting artists to Darmstadt in 2026,” explained Bedroomdisco board members Steffen Grimmel, Dominik Schmidt and Eva Marggraf .
A festival as a declaration of love for music
Since its founding in 2012, the Golden Leaves Festival has been considered a boutique festival for the indie scene. Under the motto "Spread Love For Great Music," it brings hand-picked newcomers and established acts to Darmstadt. It is organized on a voluntary basis by Live at Bedroomdisco eV, which has been shaping the regional cultural landscape for years with innovative off-location concepts.
next weekend, August 30 and 31, 2025 , at Steinbrücker Teich. Around 5,000 visitors are expected.
