Young people decorate concrete wall in Hindemithstrasse
On Sunday, September 28, 2025 Hindemithstrasse in Wixhausen will be transformed into a colorful canvas. Under the motto "Wixhausen is getting more colorful," young people can immerse themselves in graffiti art and get creative together. The project runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m partially closed in the area of Bahnhofstrasse (west side, concrete wall) .
The event is organized by the Wixhausen district administration in cooperation with the Penthaus WX youth center and the Spielmobil association. Mayor Hanno Benz has assumed patronage. The project is being artistically supervised by Pascal Lorenz .
Young people who have previously attended at least one of the two workshops on September 24th or 25th (4 pm to 8 pm each day) at the WX Youth Center are eligible to participate. There, they will receive an introduction to spray painting and develop ideas for their collaborative artwork. The public is invited to witness the creation of the artworks live on September 28th. The project is supported by numerous local businesses, including Sparkasse Darmstadt, E-Technik Takmaz GmbH, GWG Wixhausen, Metzgerei Jung, Biond GmbH, Loxam, Fahrschule Buß, and HAIST electronic .
