Citizens learn about heat pumps and funding programs
As the city of Griesheim reports, an information and exchange event on climate protection and climate adaptation took place at the town hall on Monday, March 23, 2026. Around 45 citizens participated and learned about measures they could take on their own property as well as available funding opportunities.
Exchange at themed tables
The event focused on various topics such as heat pumps, photovoltaics, energy-efficient building renovation, and greening. The "Climate Quarter Inner City North" project was also presented.
In addition to municipal project managers and external specialist planners, citizens also actively participated in the exchange and contributed their own experiences.
Green Bonus funding program in focus
One focus was on the newly launched funding program "Griesheimer GrünBonus". This supports measures such as roof, facade and courtyard greening as well as the use of cisterns.
Within the funding area, up to 80 percent of the costs for planning and implementation can be covered. The funds come from the Hessian Climate Plan.
