Citizens learn about current projects during a ten-kilometer tour
Around 140 citizens participated in this year's boundary walk in Weiterstadt last Sunday. In perfect weather, the approximately ten-kilometer route past various points within the town.
Information on current projects
During the tour, Mayor Niklas Gehnich provided information at several stops about current developments and projects in the city. These stops included the sewage treatment plant, the indoor swimming pool, and the Tännchen area.
He explained the current status of the respective measures and gave insights into planned developments in Weiterstadt.
Support from the fire brigade association
The fire brigade association provided food and drinks for the participants along the hiking route. The city thanked the association for its support and commitment.
Positive feedback from the public
The event also received positive feedback from the public. Many participants used the walk along the city's borders to learn about developments in their city and to engage in conversation with one another.
