Demolition work will begin at the end of March in the conversion area
Another construction phase will begin in the Griesheimer Anger conversion area in the coming weeks. As the city announced, work on the new construction site will commence on March 30, 2026 .
Terraced and semi-detached houses planned
The new building site is located at the eastern end of Nehringstrasse. Terraced and semi-detached houses planned for the site. As a preparatory step, demolition work will first be carried out on the existing asphalt surface.
In preparation, the construction fence on Nehringstrasse will be moved westward in order to start the work.
Regulations for residents
For residents, the western section of Nehringstraße up to the corner of Groenhoffstraße will remain accessible. Parking and turning around are permitted there.
Construction traffic will be diverted
Construction work and traffic will be handled via the new development areas of Griesheimer Anger and Flughafenstraße. The aim is to minimize disruption to existing residential areas.
The city asks residents for their understanding regarding the restrictions during the construction phase.
