Over 2000 visits and more than 6600 loans between July and August
GRIESHEIM – No sign of a summer slump: The Griesheim Public Library experienced a brisk business during the school holidays from July 7 to August 14. During this period, over 2,000 visits , 6,632 loans , and 3,721 returns recorded.
Only on particularly hot days was a slight decrease noticeable. "Our basement, with its very pleasantly cool temperatures, is highly recommended as a place to take a breather. Even without a library card, anyone who would like to browse the offerings in peace or read books and magazines on site is welcome," explained Heike Erb-Schyguda from the library team.
For the second year in a row, the opening hours remained unchanged during the holidays , which was greatly appreciated by visitors.
The public library is a popular meeting place in the center of Griesheim. It offers over 15,000 media items on-site as well as more than 300,000 digital media items via the Hessen Online Library .
