Over 2000 visits and more than 6600 loans between July and August
GRIESHEIM – No sign of a summer lull: The Griesheim city library recorded brisk business during the summer holidays from July 7th to August 14th. During this period, over 2000 visits , 6632 loans , and 3721 returns recorded.
Only on particularly hot days was a slight decrease noticeable. "Our basement, with its very pleasantly cool temperatures, is highly recommended as a place to breathe. Everyone is welcome, even without a library card, who would like to browse the collection in peace or read books and magazines on site," explained Heike Erb-Schyguda from the library team.
For the second time in a row, the opening hours remained unchanged during the holidays , which was greatly appreciated by visitors.
The city library is a popular meeting place in the center of Griesheim. It offers over 15,000 items on site as well as more than 300,000 digital items via the Onleihe Hessen online library .
