Around 50 team members are being sought for "Naturally Holiday Games"
The youth services department of the city of Griesheim is already looking for staff for the 2026 summer holiday program. Although registration for children doesn't start until March 9th, around 50 motivated people are already needed to supervise the two-week summer holiday program.
This year's holiday program, themed "Naturally Holiday Program," will take place from July 27th to August 7th, 2026. Between 350 and 400 children are expected to register. The children will be supervised in groups by fixed teams of three counselors.
Requirements for participation
We are looking for adults who enjoy working with children and would like to actively participate in organizing holiday activities. Requirements for participation include:
- Age of majority
- a first aid course within the last three years
- a measles vaccination
- Applying for an extended certificate of good conduct before starting work
Since not all previous employees will be available again due to exams, job changes or starting studies, the existing team will be supplemented.
Training sessions are mandatory
Two mandatory training meetings will take place to prepare for the tasks:
- June 2026, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m
- July 2026, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m
Participation is compensated based on the trainer's allowance and amounts to 11 euros per hour. Preparation meetings and two hours of work that can be scheduled at the participant's discretion are also paid.
