Downtown development continues to focus
Future measures for inner city development continue to take shape. As part of the federal funding program "Sustainable inner cities and centers", the urban administration is currently dealing with the target visions and ideas of the citizens.
These were developed in workshops in spring 2024. In interdisciplinary vision teams, the experts from the various areas of the Griesheim city administration implement the ideas and target visions of the citizens into very specific suggestions for measures. In the spring of 2025, an online participation for the developed measures is planned. By assessing the citizens, the city wants to understand which measures are particularly important for the city center for the Griesheimers.
Since 2022, the city has been dealing with the strategic development of downtown Griesheim as part of the federal funding program "Sustainable Centers and Centers". The participation of the Griesheimers was very important to the city. In various participation formats, common visions and the need for the city center of the future were defined.
