Tradition, parade and family program: The preliminary program at a glance
Griesheim. With the 344th Griesheim Kerb, the town will once again celebrate the traditional church festival from August 22nd to 26th, 2025. According to the town of Griesheim, the colorful program, featuring music, a parade, and church services, will once again be organized by the Kerweborsch Zöllerhannes , the Kerwemädscher , and numerous clubs.
"We can be proud to celebrate this beautiful tradition together for the 344th time," said Mayor Geza Krebs-Wetzl . The Kerb is an integral part of the city's history – and is kept alive year after year through the commitment of many generations.
Festival grounds at the Hegelsberghalle with music, rides and beer garden
In 2025, the main festival event will once again take place on the festival grounds at the Hegelsberghalle – organized for the fourth year by general leaseholder Hans Jürgen Felderhoff . Visitors can expect a mix of rides , culinary stalls , a wine and beer garden , and live music.
Parade with changed route on Sunday
The grand fair parade on Sunday, August 24 , starts at 2:00 p.m. on Oberndorfer Straße . Due to renovation work on Pfützenstraße, the route has been adjusted again. After turning onto the B26, the parade will continue along Platz-Bar-le-Duc-Straße to Groß-Gerauer Straße and from Jean-Bernard-Platz onward, it will continue along its usual route.

Friday, August 22
- 5:00 PM: Church service with hanging of the Kerwe crown (Luther Church)
- 5:45 p.m.: Kerwe tree setting at the Luther Church by the Kerweborsch Zöllerhannes
- approx. 7:30 p.m.: Kerwe tree setting at the Hegelsberghalle with Zöllerhannes & Ex-Kerweborsch
- Approx. 8:15 p.m.: Beer tapping with Mayor Krebs-Wetzl in the festival tent
- Music before & after the beer tapping: pop singer Peter Lorenz
Saturday, August 23
- from 3:30 p.m.: Seniors' Fair at Haus Waldeck (with visit by the Kerwemädscher & Kerweborsch)
- 6:45 p.m.: Tree planting & fair speech at the Zöllerhannes community center
- 8:00 PM: Dance & Show at the Community Center
- from 7:00 PM: Live music on the Kerweplatz with the party band Capones
Sunday, August 24
- 9:30 a.m.: Festive service (Luther Church)
- 10:30 a.m.: Morning pint at the Luther Church
- 2:00 p.m.: Start of the Kerwe parade
Monday, August 25
- from 10:00 a.m.: Morning pint in the Griesheim restaurants
- from 11:30 a.m.: Morning pint in the wine and beer garden (Kerweplatz)
Tuesday, August 26
- 2:30–6:00 p.m.: Family day with reduced prices
- approx. 9:45 pm: Fireworks (organized by General Tenant Felderhoff)
Saturday, August 30: After-kerb
- from 5:00 PM: Party alarm from the Griesheim Volunteer Fire Department
- from approx. 7:00 p.m.: Award ceremony for the “Most Beautiful Train Number”
Monday, September 1
- 8:30 p.m.: Burning of the Kerwebopp , start at the Geleitcafé
