Eight weeks of construction work for new development – diversion recommended
Starting Monday, September 1, 2025, Lilienthalstraße will be completely closed between Groenhoffstraße and Flughafenstraße for approximately eight weeks. The Gutermuthstraße/Flughafenstraße intersection will also be closed during this period. This is due to civil engineering work for the development of the Griesheimer Anger .
As part of the project, electricity, lighting, sewer, and water connections will be installed. Upon completion, all lines will be fully installed, preventing another full closure in the future.
Accompanying work on transformer station
In parallel with the civil engineering work, work will take place in the Nehringstraße / Theissstraße area from September 1 to 12, 2025. A transformer station will be installed and connected there.
Recommendation for detour
For traffic heading towards Darmstadt, the city of Griesheim recommends avoiding the area.
