The electoral office provides information on election dates, figures, and online application
On Sunday, March 15, 2026, local elections and the election for the Foreign Residents' Advisory Council will take place in Griesheim. Polling stations will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Griesheim Election Office points out that eligible voters can also cast their ballots in advance by mail.
Postal voting can be carried out either directly at the town hall or applied for online. The application can be found at the following link:

"Citizens do not need an appointment to vote," explains municipal election officer Daniel Schottenheimer. "Voting is possible anytime during the town hall's opening hours."
Eligible voters and first-time voters
In Griesheim, 24,505 people are currently eligible to vote in the local elections. Of these, 6,156 are registered for the Foreign Residents' Advisory Council election. A total of 318 young people from Griesheim are eligible to vote for the first time.
Postal voting is possible at the town hall
Those wishing to cast their postal vote in person at the town hall can obtain the necessary documents there. The prerequisite is that the voter notification is submitted with the postal vote application and proof of identity is provided.
No appointment is necessary. Voting is possible during the regular opening hours of the town hall
Monday: 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Tuesday: 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Wednesday: 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Thursday: 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Friday: 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
